The Department of Anesthesiology at UTMB is seeking Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) for our Clear Lake and League City campuses. As a CRNA at UTMB, you will work in a collegial environment and be part of a collaborative team with a broad range of clinical expertise and backgrounds. The selected candidates will be handling a broad range of cases including general, plastic, orthopedic, gynecology/obstetrics, ear-nose-throat, and neurological surgery.

UTMB opened in 1891 as the nation’s first public medical school and hospital under unified leadership. What began as one hospital and a medical school building in Galveston is now a billion-dollar major academic health science center of global influence; with medical, nursing, health professions, public and population health, and graduate biomedical schools; a world-renowned research enterprise; and a growing, comprehensive health system. Educational and Experience Requirements:
- Master’s degree or higher from a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA).
- Valid State of Texas RN License.
- Valid State of Texas CRNA License.
- National Certification Examination required by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
- U.S. Citizenship or Employment Authorization to work in the U.S.
